Arno Verschueren, aged 29, may continue his career at ADO Den Haag. He joined FC Twente from Sparta Rotterdam two seasons ago for just under half a million euros. The midfielder has been given permission by technical director Erik ten Hag to leave Enschede. Verschueren was not involved in Twente's pre-season preparations and was also absent from the squad for the Europa League qualifier against Ferencváros. Voetbal International confirms the interest from the promoted club and also reports that the player is not keen on the move, as the Belgian is reportedly aiming for a return to his home country or the border area. His contract at the club runs until 2028 and his current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt. He has previously been capped 9 times for the Belgium U19 national team.
