Palermo is considering 30-year-old Antonio Sanabria in their search for an experienced striker to be an alternative to top scorer Joel Pohjanpalo. Sanabria, who also holds Spanish citizenship, was recently relegated to Serie B with Cremonese, a club he joined in August 2025 and is under contract until 2028. The Paraguayan international, who scored one goal and provided one assist in 25 Serie A appearances in a recent season, could leave Cremonese. A potential move from Palermo will have to wait because Sanabria is currently with his national team for the World Cup. Sanabria has 48 caps and 7 goals for his country. The tournament starts tomorrow in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Activity in the transfer market for him is expected to begin only after the tournament is over. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €1.80m.
