Armstrong Okoflex Transfer from Botev Plovdiv to Levski Sofia
Iliyan Filipov stated that despite an active contract, an official FIFA notification and a pending procedure, Levski Sofia declared Armstrong Oko-Flex as their player. Filipov said that the club submitted documents for registration and behaved as though no dispute existed. He also pointed out that all necessary institutional actions have already been taken before FIFA and the Bulgarian Football Union.
Sportal.bg reports that Levski Sofia have signed Armstrong Oko-Flex for a fee of 300,000 EUR. The player activated a release mechanism in his contract for that fee. The club announced on its official website that all administrative procedures were completed according to the applicable rules. Armstrong Oko-Flex passed medical examinations and signed a contract with the club until the end of 2028. According to public statements from Botev Plovdiv, the transfer was completed amid strong competition and more attractive financial offers. Levski Sofia's administrative and sports-technical teams finalized the deal officially and quickly.
According to Sportal.bg, Armstrong Oko-Flex is considered a definite new addition to Levski, with his transfer being expected after Levski paid the buyout clause specified in the player's contract to the "Canaries."
PFC Botev Plovdiv has submitted an official complaint to the Disciplinary Commission of the BFS regarding PFC Levski Sofia. The complaint accuses Levski Sofia of conducting unauthorized discussions about a transfer for Armstrong Oko-Flex, a 23-year-old Irish and English winger who is under contract with Botev until June 30, 2027. The complaint alleges that on January 12, 2026, Botev's management discovered that representatives from Levski had contacted the player through his father without the club's knowledge or written permission. It is claimed within the complaint that personal terms were agreed upon between the player and PFC Levski Sofia during this contact. As evidence, the complaint cites a WhatsApp correspondence in which the player's father allegedly confirmed that Levski had initiated contact and that personal terms were settled. Botev Plovdiv argues that this action violates regulations that prohibit clubs from negotiating with a player who has more than six months remaining on their contract without permission from their current club. Consequently, Botev has asked the commission to impose a ban on Levski Sofia registering new players during the next transfer window. Oko-Flex joined Botev Plovdiv in August 2025 and has made 6 appearances in the efbet Liga this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. He has been capped 7 times for the Ireland U21 team, for which he has scored 4 goals. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €600k. The Polish club Wisła Płock has also been linked with the player.
