Albanian centre-forward Ardit Nikaj has joined AF Elbasani, following Wisła Kraków's announcement in May that he was leaving. Nikaj had been at Wisła on a one-year loan from KF Skënderbeu. The Polish club had a purchase option of 100,000 euros, but officials chose not to activate it. His performance was considered disappointing by officials, as the 24-year-old scored one goal in 15 league appearances. Upon his return to Albania, Nikaj was presented as a new player for AF Elbasani, the Albanian vice-champion. He has 8 caps for Albania's U21 team. He signed a contract on a permanent transfer with the club, which is valid until June 30, 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €150k.
