SC Freiburg is reportedly one of several clubs interested in Leeds United's Japanese international midfielder, Ao Tanaka. Other German clubs and multiple teams in England are also monitoring the player, for whom Leeds United is understood to be asking for a transfer fee between ten and twelve million euros. The player is reportedly inclined to remain in England and his contract with Leeds runs until June 2028.
