FC Winterthur has made its first signing since being relegated, bringing in 35-year-old Swiss offensive player Antonio Marchesano from Yverdon, which is now a league rival. Marchesano previously played for Winterthur from 2013 to 2015. He did not extend his contract with Yverdon, which was set to expire this summer, after a season where he scored 15 goals in 35 games. A club announcement confirmed that Marchesano has been given a contract until the summer of 2027. Marchesano has one cap for the Switzerland U21 team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €100k.
