Antoñito Cordero and Newcastle have agreed to a loan move to Cádiz until June, with the final details yet to be settled. The player was considering returning to Spain, and Newcastle was seeking a new club for him to gain more playing time in the second half of the season. At his prior loan club, Westerlo in Belgium, the 19-year-old had received limited minutes, participating in seven league games without making any starts. To secure the deal, Cádiz negotiated with the English club for over a week. Cádiz was not the only interested Segunda club, as Cordero had received up to four strong offers, one of which was from Deportivo. An official announcement of the move is expected soon.
