Antonio Čolak Transfer from Spezia to Legia Warszawa
Antonio-Mirko Čolak, a 31-year-old former Croatian international forward, has completed a move to Legia Warsaw from Spezia, signing a two-year contract in a transfer that has generated discussion in Poland. Before the deal with Legia was concluded, Čolak had a verbal pact with Gornik and, as per reports from Polish media, had already undergone part of his medical with the club before he left for Warsaw. The circumstances elicited a strong reaction from Lukas Podolski of Gornik, who insinuated that Čolak's choice was financially driven. Podolski remarked that following an agreement, which he specified included a handshake and authentic videos, he would not want a player of such character at his club, suggesting it was possibly for the best the transfer did not go through. Čolak is a one-time top scorer in the Croatian league. According to Transfermarkt, the striker's current market value is listed at €1.00m.
