Antoni Burkiewicz Transfer from Raków Częstochowa to Polonia Bytom
Rakow Czestochowa announced the decision to shorten the loan of Antoni Burkiewicz, who spent the autumn round at Polonia Bytom. The 17-year-old midfielder will go with the team to a training camp in Turkey, after which a decision will be made on whether he stays with the team for the spring round or is loaned out again. Burkiewicz played three times for Polonia Bytom, scoring one goal in the Polish Cup against LKS Goczalkowice-Zdroj. There has also been reported interest in him from SSC Napoli and Inter Milan, with Italian sources having described him as being one of the most talented Polish players born in 2008.
Raków Częstochowa have decided to shorten Antoni Burkiewicz's loan at Polonia Bytom, where he was sent in the summer. Burkiewicz will participate in the winter training camp of Raków Częstochowa's first team. According to Transfery.info, the decision to shorten the loan was made by Raków Częstochowa.
In August, Raków Częstochowa loaned 17-year-old Antoni Burkiewicz to first-division side Polonia Bytom with the aim of securing regular playing time for the midfielder. However, the Polish youth international has since made only a single nine-minute appearance in the Polish Cup. Speaking on the 'Raków Podcast', Wojciech Cygan, the chairman of Raków's supervisory board, explained that if the situation does not change, the loan will be shortened. Cygan acknowledged that it was still early and that the player had joined Polonia late, but stated that if opportunities for Burkiewicz to get minutes do not improve, seeking another future for him would be the best solution for all parties. Media reports have previously suggested that clubs such as Inter Milan and Napoli have shown interest in the player, who has not yet made his senior debut for Raków.
