Sassuolo is working to sign Ajax right-back Anton Gaaei, a player they had previously pursued during the winter transfer window. The 23-year-old Danish international joined Ajax in August 2023, and his contract runs until June 2028. In the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, Gaaei made 26 appearances, scoring one goal and providing four assists. He has been capped once for Denmark. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €5.00m. Lazio has also been linked with the player.
