Victor Angelescu has ruled out a transfer to Dinamo for Antoine Baroan. Dinamo wanted Baroan because he previously worked with Zeljko Kopic. Angelescu stated that Rapid wants to resolve the situation with Baroan and that there are negotiations taking place between them and other clubs, and between agents and clubs. He confirmed that they want money for the player. Baroan was excluded from the Rapid squad by Costel Gâlcă for inappropriate behavior, and the club's shareholders want to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Victor Angelescu stated there are discussions for Antoine Baroan, adding that, to his knowledge, the player's agent is in talks with clubs in China and Belgium, but not in Romania. Rapid will not release Antoine Baroan for free, as they paid €400,000 for his transfer in August.

According to digisport.ro, Antoine Baroan is among five players who are expected to leave Rapid in the winter transfer window. Before the penultimate round, Costel Gâlcă said that the situation between him and the French forward had ended.
