Wing-back Anthony Forde, 32, has signed for Altrincham as a free agent, agreeing to an 18-month contract in January. He is the fourth new player to join the Robins' squad in the last week and is immediately available for selection. Manager Neil Gibson was delighted with the signing, stating that Forde brings experience from playing at a much higher level, as well as leadership qualities. Gibson also noted Forde's successful period at Wrexham, where he was part of sides that won promotion from both the National League and League Two, and believes his creativity will provide more options. A former Ireland youth international, Forde began his senior career with Wolverhampton Wanderers and has since played for clubs including Walsall, Rotherham United, and Oxford United, before finishing last season in League One with Burton Albion.
