Andrey Yordanov Transfer from Botev Plovdiv to CSKA Sofia
According to Sportal.bg, CSKA has officially announced the signing of Andrey Yordanov. The full-back joins the 'reds' from Botev Plovdiv after successfully passing his medical examinations. He has officially signed a three-year contract with the 'army men'.
According to Sportal.bg, CSKA is expected to sign Andrey Yordanov, the left back from Botev Plovdiv, as their first Bulgarian addition in the winter. Andrey Yordanov missed today's first training session of Botev Plovdiv and may appear tomorrow at the CSKA base in Pancharevo. If the transfer is finalized, this would be Yordanov's second period at CSKA. He is a youth product of the club and played one match for them in 2019.
According to Sportal.bg, CSKA will start an urgent plan to acquire their youth player Andrey Yordanov. Yordanov is currently a starter at Botev Plovdiv. The 'army men' have had plans involving Yordanov for a long time, but his transfer to the capital team has failed multiple times. Last summer, the nephew of CSKA champion Evgeni Yordanov was close to joining the 'reds', but the deal failed at the final stage and he signed a new contract with Botev Plovdiv.
CSKA has a long-standing interest in Andrey Yordanov, a 24-year-old left wing-back from Botev Plovdiv. According to 'Tema Sport', coach Hristo Yanev has identified Yordanov as one of three domestic league players to be targeted during the winter transfer window. The coach has reportedly proposed the names to the selection committee. The club's management is now discussing the possibility of opening negotiations. Yordanov is a CSKA youth product who previously worked with Yanev at Pirin during the 2022/23 season. He is also the nephew of Evgeni Yordanov, a two-time champion with the team.
