Andrew Transfer from Gil Vicente to Botafogo

According to ESPN BR, Botafogo has made an initial offer to sign Andrew to a pre-contract of between three to four years. The report also states that Botafogo still holds 30% of Andrew's economic rights.

Botafogo is in negotiations to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Andrew, who was developed at the club, on a pre-contract from Portuguese side Gil Vicente. The 24-year-old player, who left Botafogo in 2021 for more opportunities, will be out of contract in June and has informed his current team that he will not renew. While signing a goalkeeper was not a priority for the Rio de Janeiro club, they consider it a good opportunity to acquire a player regarded as one of the best in the Portuguese League without a transfer fee. Botafogo's management has been in contact with Andrew's representatives since early December and is aware of the financial details involved in the potential deal, with the player also wanting to return to Brazilian football. Although Flamengo's coach Filipe Luís and director José Boto were seen at a Gil Vicente game, their presence was reportedly a coincidence, with no specific interest from the rival club at the moment. This season, Andrew has made 15 appearances in the Liga Portugal. His current Transfermarkt market value is €7.00m, and he has also been linked with clubs such as Brest, Milan, and Bahia.
