US Triestina Calcio 1918 has announced that the signing of defender Andrei Anton is complete. The centre-back, who was born in 2003, has signed an agreement with the club lasting until the end of the season.

Triestina are looking to the free agent market to address a defensive gap left by Moretti's departure to Cosenza at the end of the winter transfer window. Il Piccolo reports that the club has reached an agreement with Andrei Anton, a 22-year-old Romanian-Italian defender. Anton became a free agent from Pro Vercelli yesterday. Anton did not make any official appearances for his former club this season. He has been capped three times for the Romania U20 team, scoring one goal. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €50k.
