Anders Christiansen, 36, has a contract until 31 January 2027.

In Sydsvenskan's 'MFF-podden', Anders Christiansen stated that he is open to playing abroad if his contract with Malmö FF is not extended. He cited Erik Sviatchenko's move to Port FC in Bangkok as an example of an exotic move. Christiansen said he does not guarantee he will end his career if he does not get a contract extension with Malmö FF and that he is open to a potential 'exotic adventure' abroad.

Sports director Nicas Kjeldsen says that his ideal player to bring to Lyngby Boldklub has been Anders Christiansen. Kjeldsen's first thought is of the player from Malmö, but he thinks he is getting too old.

Anders Christiansen, the captain of Malmö FF, has revealed that there is considerable interest from clubs in the Premier League, La Liga, and 2. Bundesliga. His contract with Malmö FF is set to expire on December 31, allowing him the chance to leave the club on a free transfer this winter. While he is aware of the interest, he has not yet started any formal discussions with Malmö FF about his future. Christiansen, who has led Malmö FF to their 24th Swedish Championship, expressed his affection for the club and the city.
