Anass Zaroury leaving Lens?
Anass Zaroury, after a year at RC Lens, might leave this summer. Despite playing 28 matches and scoring 2 goals in the 2024-2025 season, he hasn't convinced the new coach, Pierre Sage. Espanyol Barcelone is closely monitoring his situation.
Anass Zaroury, a 24-year-old Moroccan international midfielder, could leave Lens this summer. Two Championship clubs, Coventry and Norwich, as well as Panathinaikos and Espanyol Barcelona, are attentive to his situation. Zaroury, who joined Lens from Burnley last summer for more than €5 million, has not fully met expectations despite some occasional highlights. His contract with Lens runs until 2028, but the club is open to a departure given his significant salary. His market value remains interesting at €8 million, according to Transfermarkt, down from a peak of €12 million in 2023.
