Anass Salah-Eddine, a 24-year-old Moroccan international who was seriously considered by Olympiacos a short while ago, could become a target for Panathinaikos. Despite discussions with Olympiacos in early August, the player remained at Roma, where he is now not considered part of the club's plans. This has led his agent to reactivate contacts with major Greek clubs, to whom he had previously been proposed. Panathinaikos may decide to try and sign a left-back, and Salah-Eddine possesses qualities that make him a desirable option. The defender joined Roma in February 2025 and has a contract that runs until 2028. A factor against a potential transfer is that if acquired now, he would be ineligible for European competitions, which is not an incentive for the player, although this would apply to any European club signing him at this time. With a market value close to 12 million euros, should Panathinaikos pursue the transfer and reach an agreement, he would be signed to be a starting player.
