Amir Saipi leaving Lugano?
Kosovan international Amir Saipi, 25, refused to travel to an away match after being demoted to second goalkeeper following the signing of David von Ballmoos as the new first-choice keeper. The club's management has stated that Saipi's future at Lugano is more uncertain than ever and that if he wants to be a clear first-choice goalkeeper again, he will likely need to find another club. His contract, originally expiring in summer 2025, has been extended to 2027. The club expects a professional attitude from him and is not currently focused on monetizing his transfer, but his situation is open for a possible move. According to Transfermarkt, the goalkeeper has a market value of €3.00m.
