Amel Mujanic Transfer from Örgryte to AIK
Aftonbladet reports that Amel Mujanic, a 24-year-old Swedish-Bosnian midfielder, has transferred to AIK from Örgryte, which he had joined in January 2023. Mujanic said that although there was other interest, he decided on AIK early because he felt the club's plan and setup were right for him, a sentiment he had since their first meeting. The transfer occurred shortly after AIK dismissed head coach Mikkjal Thomassen. Mujanic noted that Thomassen had little involvement in the transfer talks. He also added that he was not unsettled by the coaching change and that he trusts strategic manager Jeremy Steele and the team. While Mujanic is replacing the departed Anton Saletros and has taken his vacant number 7 shirt, he clarified that there has been no specific discussion about him being a direct replacement, and that the club wants him to play his own game. The player has a Transfermarkt valuation of €1.00m and had previously been linked with clubs such as Lech Poznań, Holstein Kiel, and Malmö FF.
