Amar Suljić Transfer from Homburg to Carl Zeiss Jena

Carl Zeiss Jena have signed the 27-year-old experienced Regionalliga player Amar Suljić to replace the injured Manassé Eshele. Suljić, who played 17 matches and scored 3 goals for FC Homburg in the first half of the season, was also signed due to his significant familiarity with the Regionalliga Nordost, where he previously scored 16 times in 64 games for BFC Dynamo. Sportchef Miroslav Jovic noted the importance of having a player who can operate not just as a centre forward but also on both wings and in half-positions within different formations, particularly with Eshele's return expected in the early summer. Trainer Volkan Uluc described the new signing as a flexible, left-footed player who can fill any offensive role and stressed the need for him to settle in quickly. The Bosnian player's contract runs until the summer of 2027. He traveled to the team's training camp in Lara, Turkey, on Saturday evening and completed his first sessions with his new team on Sunday. The winger has 11 caps and 2 goals for the Bosnia U19 national team and a current Transfermarkt market value of €100k.
