Alyas Debono has joined Penybont on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Penybont have signed Cardiff City centre-back Alyas Debono on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old will spend the remainder of the Cymru Premier campaign with Rhys Griffiths’ side. The move is the defender's first time away from the Championship club. The Welsh-Maltese defender, who has been capped once for the Wales U19 team, made no senior appearances in League One last season. Debono is the second Cardiff player to join Penybont on loan this summer, following goalkeeper Dan Higgs. Cardiff confirmed the departure with a short message, stating they wished Alyas all the best during his loan spell.
