A 'complex deal' has been presented to Torino for 21-year-old winger Alieu Njie. Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of both Nottingham Forest and the Portuguese club Rio Ave, wants the player. The proposal would involve Forest signing the Swedish-Gambian player and subsequently loaning him to Rio Ave. The league is considered suitable for his development. However, it is said that Torino owner Urbano Cairo immediately halted these negotiations. Cairo reiterated that Njie, who is under contract until June 2029, is not for sale this summer. It is claimed that only a 'truly substantial' offer of at least €15m (£13m) would lead Torino to consider a sale. Everton have also shown interest in Alieu Njie. The winger joined Torino in July 2024 and has made 15 appearances in Serie A, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has also been capped six times for the Sweden U21 team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.00m. Reports in June 2026 suggested a valuation of around €10 million.
