Aberdeen midfielder Alfie Stewart has returned to Inverness on another season-long loan deal. The 19-year-old Scottish player is a product of Aberdeen's youth academy and will spend the upcoming season with Caley Thistle in the Championship. Last season, he helped the team achieve promotion by scoring eight goals in 48 appearances. The club has opted to send him back on loan to further his development, despite his strong performance during pre-season. Dons boss Stephen Robinson recently gave Stewart a new contract. Robinson explained to the club website that it is vital for the player to gain regular first-team football as part of his wider development plan. He added that the club believes this is the correct environment for him to progress and will monitor him closely. The club is also monitoring Alfie Bavidge, who is also on loan at Inverness.
