Alexander Sebald, a 29-year-old German who was the backup goalkeeper for Energie Cottbus, is ending his playing career despite his contract running until 2028. Sebald joined the club in July 2022 and will become the goalkeeping coach for Energie Cottbus from the 2026/27 season, working alongside Marvin-Gordon Jahn. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €100k.
