Elfsborg is nearing a deal for Aberdeen's 24-year-old right-back Alexander Jensen, with the two clubs engaged in discussions after the Swedish side submitted a six-figure bid for the Danish defender. Malmo had also been interested in the player earlier in the season, but Elfsborg are now considered the leading club to sign him. Aberdeen wants to recoup some of their recent transfer spending. Jensen was signed by former manager Jimmy Thelin from Brommapojkarna for around £650,000 in 2025, and the Dons are seeking to get more than that fee through add-ons. Current Dons boss Stephen Robinson is prepared to sell Jensen if the terms of the deal are acceptable to the club, which would result in the player returning to Sweden to his former manager’s old team. His contract with Aberdeen expires on December 31, 2028, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.50m. For the 2025/2026 season, Alexander Jensen made 25 appearances in the Scottish Premiership and 2 appearances in the Premiership Relegation round. He has 2 caps for the Denmark U16 team.
