Swedish winger Alexander Andersson, who is 16, has signed a new contract with Djurgården that runs until 2029. Andersson stated that it feels great to extend with his childhood club and that he has supported Djurgården his whole life. Djurgården's sporting director, Maximilian Hahn, said it is very pleasing news that Alexander Andersson is extending his future at Djurgården. Hahn highlighted his talent and character, and his important role in the A-team squad. Hahn also mentioned Andersson is the latest talent from their 'Pathway Program' and that his recent playing time confirms their belief in him. In the 2025/2026 Allsvenskan season, Andersson has made one appearance, and he has not yet been capped for the Sweden U17 team.
