Flamengo is interested in Alex Luna, a 22-year-old Argentinian attacking midfielder from the club Instituto, after another target, Thiago Almada, moved to River Plate. After a match for his club, Luna confirmed the interest, stating that the Rio de Janeiro-based team had contacted his agent a few days prior and that he would see what would happen in the following days. Luna joined Instituto in January 2026 and his contract runs until the end of 2029. The player has been capped three times for Argentina's U20 team. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €4.00m. The Greek club Aris has also been linked with a transfer for the player.
