Italian defender Alessandro Vogliacco has returned from his loan at PAOK Salonicco and is expected to leave Genoa permanently in the coming weeks for Serie B club Cremonese. Telenord reports that Cremonese is actively pursuing the 1998-born defender and has added him to their list of defensive reinforcements. The club's need for defenders was highlighted when coach Marco Giampaolo had to use a midfielder in central defense during recent friendlies. The deal for Vogliacco, who has one year remaining on his contract with Genoa, is anticipated to be finalized after the team returns from England. Vogliacco joined Genoa in August 2021, has been capped three times for the Italy U21 team, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.50m.
