Italian central defender Alessandro Pio Riccio, 24, is to sign with Pogoń Szczecin after an agreement was reached between the management of Sampdoria and the Polish Ekstraklasa club. The player was not being selected by Sampdoria and coach Bernardo Corradi, and the club's management had continued to look for a new team for him abroad after the Italian transfer window closed. Riccio is set to travel to his new destination shortly. Riccio has been capped 6 times for the Italy U20 team, joined Sampdoria on 28/08/2024, and has a contract with the club until 30/06/2027. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €350k.
