According to several Calabrian portals, Salernitana is the leading club in the effort to sign Alessandro Caporale. The club from Campania has been following Caporale for some time and is said to have already reached a general agreement with him. The last obstacle concerns the financial agreement with Cosenza, which still needs to reach an agreement with Salernitana to finalize the transfer.

Alessandro Caporale, a 30-year-old Italian centre-back considered a regular starter for Cosenza, is once again being linked with Salernitana, who are looking for options to reinforce their defence. The connection between the player and the club is recurring, with Salernitana having not completed a deal for him during the summer. A potential January transfer is considered difficult, as it is unlikely Cosenza would release an important player and in doing so strengthen a direct competitor. Caporale, who joined the club in July 2024 and has made 12 league appearances this season, is under contract until June 2026 and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €250k.
