In June 2026, reports stated that Kocaelispor's management had given Serbian goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanovic, 33, permission to negotiate with other teams. Jovanovic denied these reports, clarifying that he was not looking for another team and wanted to remain at Kocaelispor. The Serbian international has one cap for his country and joined the club in July 2025 with a contract that is valid until June 2027. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €400.0K.
