Alejandro Marqués Transfer from Estoril to Leganés

Alejandro Marqués, a 25-year-old Venezuelan international centre-forward, is in the final year of his contract with Estoril and is attracting interest from several international clubs. The most recent club to show interest is Leganés, which is currently 12th in LaLiga 2. The Spanish club has approached the player and is informed of the conditions that both Marqués and Estoril require for an immediate transfer. The player's desire is to return to Spain; he has previously rejected an approach from Sporting de Gijón and also turned down an offer from Sochi in Russia last summer. Reports from September 2025 mentioned that Sochi had an offer of €1.75 million for 65% of the player's rights accepted. Estoril welcomes the approach from Leganés because the club is seeking to sell the player now to receive a transfer fee. However, Leganés currently considers Marqués a secondary option, as their priority is Alex Forés from Oviedo. Due to difficulties in that negotiation, Marqués is seen as an alternative who could be targeted later this month. The forward has four caps for his country and has made 11 appearances in Liga Portugal this season without scoring a goal. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €1.50m.
