Andreas Herrmann stated that it is a fact that there were concrete offers in the high single-digit millions for Asane Sow or Akpe Victory, but did not reveal for which player(s). Herrmann added that David Degen was also completely against them selling again immediately. The statement concerns 20-year-old Nigerian centre-back Akpe Victory, who only joined FC Basel in July 2026 and is under contract until 2030. He has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.00m and had been linked with clubs including Rangers and Benfica.
