Cuiabá officially confirmed on a Tuesday the sale of 60% of the economic rights for 17-year-old Brazilian attacker Aiyran Vieira de Lima to Flamengo, a club where the player had an evaluation period before joining Cuiabá. The selling club will retain the remaining 40% of the player's rights. It had been previously reported that the negotiation was valued at approximately R$ 6 million for the 60% stake. It was reported that Flamengo was willing to pay Aiyran's full R$ 10 million release clause, but Cuiabá negotiated to maintain a percentage. In an official statement, Cuiabá noted that while it is not their policy to sell players with few professional appearances, specific circumstances led them to conclude that this transfer was the best decision for the interests of both the club and the athlete.
