Manchester United have made an enquiry about a potential deal for Lyon's Afonso Moreira, a 21-year-old Portuguese winger. Clubs in Germany and Italy have also shown interest in Moreira. Lyon's financial issues may force them to sell the Portugal U21 international for a reduced price this summer. Moreira, who joined the French club last year for €2 million, could be available for €25m (£21.5m). Such a deal would result in his former club, Sporting CP, receiving 20 per cent due to a sell-on clause. His contract with the French club is valid until 2029. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €10 million. Moreira has received two caps for Portugal at the U21 level.
