Sławomir Peszko, the vice-president for sports at Wieczysta Kraków, confirmed that 27-year-old French-Congolese centre-forward Afimico Pululu will not be joining the club. Pululu, who left Jagiellonia Białystok after the last season and is now a free agent, rejected an offer that Peszko described as very high. The vice-president noted that he had never received such a proposal during his own time playing in the Bundesliga. Peszko added that the player did not accept the deal and is still waiting, which prompted the club to end its interest in the transfer. The player has a current Transfermarkt market value of €4.00m and has also been linked with clubs including Widzew Lodz and Beşiktaş. Reports mentioned that in June 2026, a €1.2 million offer from a Saudi club was rejected, while a €700,000 proposal from Widzew Lodz was also rejected.
