Egyptian club Al Ahly is making increased efforts to acquire 26-year-old French-Congolese striker Afimico Pululu from Jagiellonia Białystok. According to the profile Afrykański Futbol on X, if the striker were to join Al Ahly, his chances of winning the African Champions League would be very high. Al Ahly has won the competition 12 times. Jagiellonia's president, Ziemowit Deptuła, stated to TVP Sport that negotiations for a new contract with Pululu have currently paused, and he conceded that circumstances could still change. Pululu, who joined the Polish club in July 2023, has a contract until June 2026 and has recorded one goal and four assists in seven Ekstraklasa appearances in the 2025/2026 season. His current Transfermarkt market value is €4.00m. Other clubs recently linked with the striker include Lech Poznań and Widzew Lodz. During the summer 2025 transfer window, Jagiellonia reportedly rejected several offers for the player, including bids from Lech Poznań and Ferencváros of around €1.5 million and another reported offer of close to €3 million.
