Both clubs officially announced on Wednesday morning that Brazilian midfielder Adriano Firmino, 26, has transferred from Santa Clara in Portugal to Wuhan Three Towns in China. The Chinese club paid 1 million euros for 70% of the player's economic rights, and Firmino signed a two-season contract that includes an option for a one-year extension. Cruzeiro, where the midfielder was developed, retains the remaining 30% of his economic rights from his sale in August 2022. Cruzeiro is also set to receive 2.5% of the total value from the solidarity mechanism. Adriano has already joined Wuhan Three Towns for their pre-season activities in Thailand. Firmino's market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt, and he made 18 appearances for Santa Clara in the domestic league this season.
