Adriano Bregou leaving Panathinaikos?
Panetolikos have acquired 20-year-old international U21 midfielder Andriano Bregou from Panathinaikos in an exchange related to the transfer of Kontouris. Owner Fotis Kostoulas told Bregou and his representatives that he believes in him and is confident that in the future Bregou will bring money to Panetolikos from his sale. Manager Giannis Anastasiou considers Bregou for a starting position. Agent Paschalis Tountouris, who represents Kontouris, Bregou, and Tetteh, facilitated the move due to his good relationship with both clubs and because he saw that Bregou had no future at Panathinaikos under Benitez and was psychologically affected. Bregou, who replaced Bokos in the exchange package, secured a contract with Panetolikos with fixed net annual earnings of 38,000 euros, compared to the 800 euros per month he was earning at Panathinaikos.
Andriano Bregou became a Panetolikos player on Wednesday (31/12), signing a contract until 2028 after passing the required medical examinations.
Andriano Bregou announced his departure from Panathinaikos with an emotional post on social media, completing his time at the club where he played from the youth teams to the first team. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder will continue his career at Panetolikos as part of the agreement that brought Sotiris Kontouris to Panathinaikos.
