Adnan Januzaj, a 31-year-old Belgian international winger, has been without a club for three months since his Sevilla contract expired and is still permitted to sign with Anderlecht. The player and the club have been linked on multiple occasions. In June 2025, Het Laatste Nieuws reported that Anderlecht had contacted Januzaj's camp, though at the time, Het Nieuwsblad saw no signs of a potential agreement. Subsequently, the Spanish newspaper ABC wrote at the end of July 2025 that Januzaj was negotiating his contract termination to restart his career in his home country, and that Anderlecht was reportedly ready to sign him.
