Adam Karabec Transfer from Sparta Praha to Olympique Lyonnais

L'Équipe reports on the successful loan transfer of Adam Karabec to Lyon. Adam Karabec has successfully passed his medical examination in Lyon. The Czech offensive midfielder has been loaned for one year by Sparta Prague. OL has an option to purchase him for 3.5 million EUR. He is expected to be eligible for the match against Lens on Saturday.

Adam Karabec, known for his versatility as an attacking midfielder and a Czech Republic U21 international, is poised to make a move from Sparta Prague to Olympique Lyonnais on a loan deal that includes an option to purchase. Previously, Karabec had spent a season on loan at Hamburg. The purchase option is reportedly set at 3.5 million euros, with a medical examination planned for the coming week. His contract with Sparta Prague is valid until 2026, and he is capable of playing both as a number 10 and on the right wing. Czech media outlet Livesport and French newspaper L'Équipe have both confirmed the transfer. The 22-year-old, a left-footed player with a market value of €4.00m as estimated by Transfermarkt, will be joining Lyon, aligning with the club's recent strategy of signing players from the Czech Republic, after their acquisition of Pavel Šulc from Viktoria Plzen.
