Adam Aznou has moved on loan from Everton to Malaga, a club promoted to the Spanish first division, for one year. The loan is without a purchase option, and both clubs have officially announced the move. Everton had signed Aznou from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 for a transfer fee of approximately nine million euros plus bonuses and had promised him regular appearances in the Premier League. However, Aznou only played twice for the Everton first team in the past season, for a total of 42 minutes. Aznou and his agency, Football ISM, had been looking for a new club for weeks. According to BILD information, several Bundesliga clubs had also expressed interest, but Aznou wanted to return to Spain from the beginning. Everton initially considered keeping Aznou in the squad for the new season but recently approved a loan. Aznou chose Malaga because he perceives good opportunities for playing time and an important role at the club. It is reported that Everton will cover most of Aznou's salary during the loan, as Malaga could not afford it on their own.
