Basel are interested in signing left-footed defender Sedi Kinteh from Tromso before the Swiss transfer window closes on 16 February. The Swiss club Young Boys is also interested in the player. Chelsea and Manchester United are considering making a formal approach for the 19-year-old Gambia international in the summer. Kinteh has one cap for his country. Tromso has a valuation of approximately €4.6 million for the centre-back, who is also capable of playing at left-back. Kinteh joined the Norwegian club in March 2025 and has a contract until the end of 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €5.00m.
