Sky Sports reported that Boreham Wood rejected a second offer of £1 million from Djurgardens, a Swedish top-division club, for forward Abdul Abdulmalik, and that this offer followed a previously rejected one of £750,000.

It is suggested that Barnsley FC are interested in signing 23-year-old Boreham Wood midfielder Abdul Abdulmalik as a replacement for Cleary. Abdulmalik extended his contract at Boreham Wood last April, which will keep him at Meadow Park until the end of 26/27, with an option for a further year. Peterborough United, who are rivals of Barnsley in League One, were reportedly among a list of clubs watching Abdulmalik during the National League play-off final. The English-Nigerian player, who has been capped by England at U17 level, joined Boreham Wood in July 2024.
