Reims' 20-year-old French centre-back, Abdul Koné, was involved in unsuccessful negotiations in November to be a wildcard. Koné, who joined the club in July 2024, has a contract that is valid until 2029 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €5.00m. He has been capped four times for the France U20 national team. In the current 2025/2026 Ligue 2 season, he has made 15 appearances and scored one goal.
