Empoli is pursuing the signing of Abdelhamid Sabiri from Fiorentina, as the 29-year-old Moroccan international is not finding playing time in Vanoli's team and could therefore leave. Empoli is in dialogue with Fiorentina regarding the midfielder. Sabiri has made just one appearance in Serie A this season. His contract expires in June 2026, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.5 million. Genoa has also been associated with a potential transfer for the player. Fiorentina acquired him in January 2023 for a reported €2.5 million.
