AJ Auxerre, which is second to last in Ligue 1, has made Strasbourg defender Abakar Sylla a priority. FC Nantes is also interested in the 23-year-old Ivorian and has been following him for several weeks to strengthen their defence. Sylla is a former Bruges prospect who has represented Cote d'Ivoire at the U23 level. He joined his current club in July 2023 and is under contract until June 2028. He has made one appearance in Ligue 1 this season. His market value is €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Strasbourg reportedly paid €20 million for his transfer in July 2023. Reports from early 2025 valued him at €12 million.
