Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the 26-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen. The Premier League's last-place team is reportedly considering the goalkeeper because they are at risk of losing their current number one, José Sá, to Nottingham Forest. Scherpen is currently under contract with Union Saint-Gilloise, where the former Ajax player has been performing strongly in the Belgian league and the Champions League this season.
He joined his current club in July 2025 and has made 19 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season. Scherpen has not yet been capped by the senior Netherlands national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €7.00m.
