Tomáš Čvančara, a 26-year-old Czech international, is joining FC Hradec Králové, which will be his return to Czechia after three years. According to Plettenberg, the deal is a one-year loan without an option to buy. The move follows a period where neither Borussia Mönchengladbach nor Celtic, where he was previously on loan, were interested in retaining the forward. Čvančara is scheduled to undergo a medical at the East Bohemian club on Thursday.
The forward has 8 caps and 1 goal for his country. His contract with his parent club Borussia Mönchengladbach runs until 2028, and he joined them for a reported €10.5M in July 2023. Celtic's loan deal had included a purchase option of around €8M, which the club chose not to exercise. His current market value is €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
